Fascias, Soffits & Guttering in Faversham

Your gutters, fascias and soffits take all the water off the roof and keep it away from the walls. When they leak, sag or rot, damp follows. We replace, repair and clean roofline and guttering on homes across Faversham.

What fascias and soffits do

The fascia is the board along the edge of the roof that the gutter is fixed to. The soffit is the board underneath, tucked between the fascia and the wall. Together they close off the ends of the rafters, keep birds and weather out of the roof, and let air in to stop condensation. Old timber boards rot once the paint fails, and then the gutter fixings work loose.

Guttering

We fit new gutters and downpipes, re-align runs that hold water, replace leaking joints and broken brackets, and clear out blocked gutters. Blocked or sagging gutters spill water down the wall, which shows up as green staining outside and damp inside.

Signs it's time to act

Gutters overflowing or dripping at the joints in ordinary rain. Gutters that have pulled away from the wall or sag in the middle. Peeling paint, soft spots or gaps in the fascia boards. Birds or wasps getting in at the eaves. Plants growing in the gutter.

What affects the price

The length of the roofline, the height of the house and access, whether boards are being replaced or just the gutters, and the materials chosen. We'll look at it and give you a free quote. It's often cost-effective to renew the roofline while scaffolding is up for other roof work.

What customers say

5 out of 5 stars
“Louis came to replace my flat roof on my extension and to clean out all the guttering of mine and my neighbours houses. He did an amazing job he was very polite and professional and cleaned up well after himself. I had to go into work and I was able to leave Louis to his own devises, I felt able to trust him and trust that he would do the job I requited. My neighbour and I were both very impressed with his work. His time keeping was excellent and arrived each time he said he would. Great job. I would highly recommend.”

Fascias, Soffits & Guttering: common questions

Do you clean gutters as well as replace them?

Yes. We clear out blocked gutters and downpipes and check the joints and brackets while we're there. One customer had us clean the gutters on their house and their neighbour's at the same visit as a flat roof replacement.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

Once a year is enough for most houses, ideally after the leaves have fallen in late autumn. Homes near large trees or with a lot of roof moss may need it twice a year.

Can leaking gutters be repaired?

Usually. A leak at a joint or a loose bracket is a simple repair. If the gutters are brittle, warped or the fascia behind has rotted, replacing the run is the longer-lasting fix.

Should I replace fascias and gutters at the same time as my roof?

It often makes sense, because the scaffolding is already up and the gutters have to come off anyway. We'll price it both ways so you can decide.
